Somali Congress of Trade Unions(SOCOTU) today conducted a visit to the Embassy of Türkiye in Mogadishu, where a productive meeting was held with H.E. Alper Aktaş, Ambassador of Türkiye to Somalia.
The SOCOTU delegation was led by President Mohamed Osman Haji and Secretary General Mohamud Hassan Ali. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation, advancing workers’ rights, and highlighting the important role of skilled Somali workers in national economic development.
We express our sincere appreciation to the Government and people of Türkiye for their continued support to the Somali people, particularly in development, public services, and infrastructure.
SOCOTU reaffirms its commitment to defending workers’ rights and strengthening all affiliated unions under its umbrella.
