The Somali Congress of Trade Unions (SOCOTU) vehemently denounces the recent agreement reached in Addis Ababa between Ethiopia’s Prime Minister, @AbiyAhmed, and the Govenor of the regional government of Somaliland, Muse Bihi.
Territorial sovereignty is a fundamental right that must be respected by all nations. Somalia is indivisible! It’s sovereignty & territorial integrity is uncompromisable. This agreement, is viewed by Somali workers as a grave infringement upon Somali’s sovereignty. Mr. @Abiy Ahmed, a Govenor of Hargeysa cannot grant you an inch of #Somalia‘s territory.
We welcome the decisons of the Cabinet and the lawmakers @Golaha_shac_JFS to annul the provocative agreement, we still call the Executive @SomaliPM to take prompt diplomatic steps against Addis.
